Congrats to the July 2010 Caption Contest winner! Read the Rules Here!
Think you’re a witty soul? Then prove it, and win some schwag! All you have to do is supply a caption to the daily pulp postings, and your eligible to win a monthly prize! It could be a DVD, a book, a comic, a dollar-store toy… (Hey, it’s not like I’m making lots of money here…)
Rules:
1) One caption per user per pulp. You may go back and add captions to pulps from previous days, but ONLY back to the start of the current month.
2) You have to register now to comment. It’s not painful. And your first comment will be automatically moderated until I approve it, just to curb spammers. After that, you should be able to comment with reckless abandon.
3) Keep it PG-13 or lighter. The books and magazines managed to be suggestive without being overt; you gotta do the same.
4) I base my prize selection based solely on my opinion of what was the wittiest caption in a given month’s posts. It’s entirely subjective. There are no appeals; there are no reconsiderations. Whining that you’re really funnier than I think you are isn’t funny.
July 2010: Congratulations to Kjabooti, who wins the July prize for this July 15th caption. Kjabooti wins a copy of the book A Brief History of Tomorrow by Jonathan Margolis.
June 2010: Congrats to ROK, who wins for this June 7th caption. ROK wins a DVD of Bikini Bloodbath (2007), reviewed here.
May 2010: Congratulations to notelsie, whose caption for May 13th takes the title this month. Notelsie’s prize is a double-feature DVD of Don’t Look in the Basement and Don’t Open the Door.
Think you’re at least that funny? Have at it, folks.
